George Schlarb, age 83.
June 20, 2015.
Beloved husband of Charlotte Schlarb for 53 years.
Loving father of Ty Schlarb, Rena (Patrick McIlroy) Schlarb, and Katie (Matt) Glover.

George was a US Army Korean War veteran. He was wounded on two separate occasions, receiving two purple hearts, as well as being an EX Prisoner of war. He
survived below zero temperatures for thirty days, while being severely wounded from a gun shot wound. He lay in a farm field shack without food, melting snow for water with another wounded near death soldier whom he managed to keep alive in the mist of a battlefield covered with fallen soldiers, until rescued by the US Marines. George never
thought of his self as a hero only sharing his war experiences very late in his life. It is
we the grateful that say Thank You for your service to the eighteen year old boy who
became a man for his country
