George F. McLeod

George F. McLeod, long-time Northville resident, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2024. Born and raised in a world full of promise, George lived a life rich in love, dedication, and joy.
George was the beloved husband of Mary Catherine (nee Jerome) for 64 wonderful years. George was a loving father to Laurie (Danny) Kort, John McLeod, and James (Brittany) McLeod. He took immense pride in his role as a grandfather to Christine Hubbard, Elizabeth Spurgeon, Thomas (Amber) Kort, Caitlyn (Travis) Diadiun, Lauren (Brian) Marcy, Ali McLeod, Katie Wittwer, Malcolm McLeod, and Moira McLeod. He was also thrilled to be a great-grandfather to Porter, Beckett, Andrew, Zara, Frances, and a new baby on the way.
George enjoyed a distinguished career as a financial analyst at Ford Motor Company from 1965 until his retirement in 2000. His keen mind and dedication to his work were matched only by his passions outside of the office. He was actively involved with the Knights of Columbus and Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Northville. George also had a profound love for cars and gardening, hobbies that brought him much happiness and satisfaction throughout his life.
His memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends, who will remember him for his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to those he loved. George's legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and the values he instilled in his family. Also Survived by Bailey and Macy his K-9 companions.

George will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the warmth he brought to all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church at a later date.
