Obituary

Garfield Clayton Reynolds, 81 of Brighton, MI, passed away peacefully, Tuesday September 20, surrounded by his family, at St. Joseph's Hospital.  Born in Queensport, Nova Scotia he was the son of the late Czerny and Mary Ellen (Munroe) Reynolds.  Garfield is survived by his loving wife, Mary Reynolds (Bullock) of 36 years and son, John McDougall (Anne) and grandchildren Jordan and Danielle, brother Freeman (Christine), sister Eileen (Victor) Hodsgon, Aunts Cora and Edie Munroe and several nieces, nephews and cousins.   In-laws, the late Gary (Sherrie) Bullock, Gail (Robert) Halabicky, Judy (Toni) Neuwirth, Dennis (Carol) Bullock, Phyllis (the late Jim) Collins, Ed (Doris) Bullock,  Bill (Susan) Bullock and Tom (Marianne) Bullock.  He was predeceased in death by sisters, Carole McMaster (Bill), Frances Thibault (Julien) and brothers Leeland (Ursula), Garnet (Ann) and Arnold (Nancy).
Garfield served in the United States Armed Forces with a duty tour in Germany.  He was employed by the Arkless Switch in Boston before leaving to spend a few years in Nova Scotia.  He joined Chrysler Corp in Detroit, MI in 1964 and retired after 27 years of service.  Garfield was highly respected by his peers and well-known as a man of integrity, honesty and respectfulness.  He will be remembered by his family and friends for his strong sense of humor, his story telling and his strong love of life.  He will be deeply missed by all.
Visitation at O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River, Novi (248) 348-1800, Friday 3-9pm.  Funeral service Saturday 11am at the funeral home.  Donations can be made to charity of your choice.
