In Loving Memory of Gail M. Berryman
Gail Marie Berryman was born November 29, 1937, and passed on November 22, 2023. Gail is preceded by her late husband and love of her life, Tollie Berryman, Jr. Together, they left an amazing legacy of life and love for family and friends. Gail's life is a testament of the profound impact one person can have through love, generosity, and selflessness.
Family meant the world to Gail. Her generous and loving spirit will live on forever in her family whom she devoted her life to. Left to cherish and carry on her memory are her children, Craig (Wendy) and Jeff (Cheryl) Berryman. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Kyle, Reid, Devon, Grace, Henry, and Claire, each of whom brought immeasurable joy and pride to her life.
Gail's love of family also extended to her sisters, Donna, Faye, and Patty. The four sisters had a special bond and connection that will remain forever.
In addition to her familial connections, Gail cultivated deep friendships that enriched peoples' lives. Her caring and generous spirit allowed her to share experiences, smiles and laughter with so many.
Gail found happiness in simple pleasures. Gardening was one of her favorite passions and the vibrant colors and fragrances of her garden reflected all the beauty she brought into the world. Baking and cooking were another of her talents. Whether it was hosting a large or small gathering of friends and family, all were able to enjoy her amazing butter tarts or city chicken.
Gail's altruistic spirit extended beyond her immediate circles. She dedicated much of her time to volunteer activities that embodied her values of service and compassion. She delivered food for Meals on Wheels, assisted at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, taught water aerobics at Fox Run and in later years, volunteered at Rose Court Memory Care at Fox Run. One of her favorite projects she was able to accomplish with Tollie was contributing to the design and creation of a memory garden at Our Lady of the Angels Church (formerly St. Cryil). It is still in place and leaves yet another lasting legacy of her commitment to church and community.
Professionally, Gail worked as a dental technician, utilizing her skills to enhance the wellbeing of others. Her commitment to her career exemplified her actions of always leaving a positive impact in every facet of her life.
Gail's adventurous spirit led her to explore the world with her husband and enjoyed the discovery of new places around the world. She rarely visited the same destination twice, except for a few cherished winters in Florida, that allowed her children and grandchildren to visit in the cold winter months.
Family and friends will gather on November 30, 2023, at Holy Family Catholic Church 24505 Meadowbrook Rd, Novi, MI 48375 from 10:00am until the funeral Liturgy at 11:00am. Please join us as we honor our cherished Mother, Grandma, Sister, Aunt and Friend. We pray that her life and spirit continue to inspire and uplift your hearts forever.
