Frank Eliot Hasse, 87 of Orchard Lake died peacefully at home on January 2
viewing his favorite sights. Devoted and fun husband of Catherine (Schoeninger) for 494 months.
Survived by extended in-laws and countless friends. Proud graduate of Detroit's Mackenzie High School and held three degrees from Wayne State University.
Frank was a WWII veteran. He taught for over 30 years in Detroit Public Schools.
He loved teaching and learning until his last days. Past President and secretary
of the ALCWRT and served for many years as a Trustee of the St. Andrew's
Society of Detroit. He was extremely proud of his Scottish heritage. He spent
much of the last 20 years with his Coffee Table friends at the Farmington Y.
History, music, cars, clocks, religious discussions and politics were his passions.
He will be missed by many. Per his wishes he has been cremated. There will be a
celebration of his life at a later date. Donations may be made to the St. Andrew's
