Cassella, Florence V. Age 94, died peacefully September 25, 2016. Beloved wife and high school sweetheart of John for 71 years. Dear mother of John, Carol, Judy (Joe), and Rob. Preceded in death by son Tom. Devoted Granny to Curt (Rhonda), Derek (Vonne), Kellie, Courtney, and Brittany. Great Granny to Natalie, Travis, and Aubrey.

Florence grew up during the Great Depression in Connecticut and moved to Michigan in the 1940's with husband John. She was a big fan of the Detroit Tigers, U of M football, and Tiger Woods. Frank Sinatra was her favorite singer and she loved to dance when she heard his songs. She could often be seen working in the yard at their home of 45 years in Bloomfield Hills. She loved sitting at Chalmers Lake with friends while watching the kids play. Florence enjoyed spending the past 28 years in Naples Florida. She loved walking the beaches and looking for shells. Her grandchildren were a big part of her life and loved playing games and spending time with them. Florence had an infectious laugh and a generous heart.

Visitation will be 1:00-5:00 PM Sunday, October 2, 2016, with a scripture service at 4:00 PM at the O'Brien Sullivan Funeral Home 41555 Grand River Novi 248-348-1800. In state 10:30 AM Monday, October 3, 2016 with funeral liturgy at 11:00 AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 4300 Walnut Lake Rd., West Bloomfield. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
