Eve D. Comito, passed on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 in Ann Arbor at the age of 98.
• Born 12-8-1921 to Michael and Eva Suminski, and had one brother, Michael.
• Grew up in Detroit Area.
• Met her husband, Charles, in 1937.
• Married in 1941
• Mother of 3 sons: Charles, Michael and Richard; and 1 daughter, Marybeth.
• Along with her husband, she donated time and use of their property in Port Sanilac for CYO( Catholic Youth Organization) outings.
• Grandmother to 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
• She worked as a secretary for the Army during World War II; worked with her husband at the Family Lumber and Supply Yard; and later worked as an Executive Secretary in the Mental Health Field.
• She loved people and always strived to see the best in them, even when others may not have. She always had a long list of individuals on her nightly prayer list.
• She enjoyed life, traveling with her husband to Europe, Africa, the Bahamas and Mexico. Wherever she went, she brought laughter and smiles to everyone she met.
• She loved reading and keeping current on the political news front. An avid conservative, she was always ready to discuss politics or religion.
• Eve and her husband Charles were members of OLV since the late 1950's. During the 50's and 60's, she was also a faithful attendee of the "Mother of Perpetual Help" Novenas, and her children, Michael, Richard and Marybeth all graduated from OLV's grade school.
Private services will be held.
