Loving father of Paige (Brian) Umstead and step-father of Rob (Linh) Wark, Laura (Bob) Burton and Amanda (Dennis) Forth.
Dear gramps of Stella and Meredith Umstead, Ryan and Robby Wark, Suzanne Liston, Stephanie, Jarrett, Glynn, Ava Burton and the late Katie Wark.
Son of the late Murl and Gladys Lamb.
Brother of Allison (Frank Sopko) Lamb.
Ernie was a graduate of Northville High School, Class of 1964.
He served in the Navy aboard the USS Independence.
Retired from Michigan Bell.
Ernie was a friend to many – he never met a stranger. He was also known for his unique fashion style and wonderful sense of humor.
He is riding his Harley in heaven with many friends who have passed before him.
A memorial gathering will be held Sunday, Dec. 2, 11 AM until time of memorial service at 1 PM at O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River, Novi (248) 348-1800.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John Hospice.
