Emmett J. Neville. D.D.S., 90, of Redford and East Jordan, Michigan on December6, 2017 at Angela Hospice and after a long last illness. Predeceased by his wife Theresa, 2007, and his parents James Neville and Catherine Cunningham Neville. Survived by his sister Virginia M. Deal (Charles Lee Deal) of Grants Pass, Oregon and many loving nieces and nephews and friends. Born at Detroit June 25, 1927. Resided on Rutherford Street, one block east of St. Mary of Redford Church where he attended grammar school and graduated from St. Mary of Redford High School in 1945. He served in the United State Navy from 1945-1947 and enrolled in at the University of Detroit in 1947 and graduated the University of Detroit Dental School in 1953. Shortly after graduation with the help of Lou Matthews, a Rutherford neighbor, he purchased a closed fish shop on Grand River Ave., one block west of St. Mary's Church restored it to a dental office and successfully practiced dentistry for 40 some years at that location before retiring in 1995. Thereafter he and Terry spent parts of the year on Lake Charlevoix, East Jordan where he fished daily in the summer months on Lake Michigan. Dr Nevilles' remains have been donated to the Wayne State University Medical School.Friends will be received at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home 41555 Grand River Novi 248-348-1800 on May 10, 2018 from 5-8pm with a rosary at 7:00pm. A mass of the resurrection will be offered at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, 12100 Beech Daly Road Redford Michigan on May 11 at 10:00am.
