Elina S. Cobb, loving mother, adored daughter, and regarded friend, passed away in Novi, MI, on April 5, 2021.
Elina was born on May 8, 1976 in Baku, Azerbaijan. As a child she was deeply cherished by her mother Karina, grandmother, Julieta, father George and sister, Sabina. As a young adult Elina completed her studies in Moscow, Russia and in 1996 Elina along with her grandmother, mother, father, sister and daughter, Alia, embarked on a journey to the United States in search of better opportunities for their family. Shortly after their move to the United States, Elina's daughter, Inga was born.
Elina thrived with a spirit of giving. She arrived to the United States with nothing and worked tirelessly as Sergeant for the Department of Corrections to provide her daughters Alia and Inga with a firm foundation and a life of limitless opportunity. Elina had a magnetic personality, she had a zest for life that radiated to all who knew the privilege of her presence. She had a sweet gentleness about her, giving generously and compassionately to anyone in need. Her smile beamed brilliantly, her exquisite beauty profoundly transcending the surface. Elina loved to travel, she enjoyed dancing, music and spending time with her family and treasured puppies, Snickers and Bella.
Above all, Elina fiercely and deeply loved her daughters, whom she was most proud of and who will continue to honor their beloved mother through their own lives. As her family remembers their beautiful Elina, they will cherish the wonderful memories that they've made together and find comfort in how deeply loved Elina knew that she was by all of us.
