E. Robert (Bob) Aspinall, age 93, beloved husband of Jeanette for 66+ years. Loving father of Gary (Sherry) Aspinall, David (Judy) Aspinall, Kevin (Berta) Aspinall, Susan Aspinall and Karen (Paul) Treverton. Beloved grandfather to 13 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren: Rob, Casey and Rose Aspinall; Jason (Jennifer), Steven (Jill) and Jeff Aspinall; Amy (Brad) Hall and Brian (KT) Aspinall; Eric (Amy) and Scott Bowdich; Rachel (Kyle) Washburn, Nick Jacob, AJ (Matt) Lusk, Andrew (Rose) Treverton and Julie Treverton (Spencer Storey). Cherished great-grandfather to 12 great-grandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren: Matthew, Kyle, Jessica and Emma Aspinall; Daisy Aspinall; George, Abby and Nora Hall; Delaney, Charlie and Benjamin Aspinall; Brooklyn Washburn; Henry Treverton and Elizabeth Storey; Blaise, Dora and Red Treverton. Bob served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. He was an Eagle Scout and Scoutmaster. He worked for 10 years for the U.S. Department of Defense in Warren, MI, and retired from Ford Motor Company after 27.5 years as a test and safety engineer. He loved traveling worldwide with his dear wife, including camping, cruising and touring, and triggered a love of travel in all his kids and grandkids. He will always be loved and appreciated for teaching his family, by his example, the value of hard work, good judgment, courage, integrity, caring and helpfulness.
Visitation will be on Saturday, April 7, 2018 10am-Noon followed by a short memorial service at Noon at O'Brien-Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Avenue in Novi, MI. Lunch and a Celebration of Life will follow at a separate location. Interment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan at a later date.
