Dorothy Theresa Sovel, 88, passed away peacefully in Novi, Michigan, on December 29, 2020. Beloved wife to the late Lewis "Bud" Sovel. Cherished mother of Kim (Reeny), Kevin (Michelle), Kraig (Sheila), and Brian (Liza). Proud Grandmother of Barbie (Corey), Bridgette (Rob), Brystol (Alex), Brian, Jeff (Tatiana), Jenna, Alyssa (Jameson), Charles, and Alex and known lovingly as "Busia." Dear sister of Ed (Charlene) and the late Tony (Ruth), Irene (Andrew), Mary (Edward), and Richard (Anita). Adored sister-in-law of Ronald (Irene), James (Donna), and the late Jeanette (Richard). She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.



Dorothy was a talented seamstress who enjoyed making dresses for her nieces and her beloved collection of dolls. She was dedicated to the family business and was often seen working in the front office and answering the phones at Sovel Service Center. Dorothy and the late Bud were adored by their lifelong friends and extended family.



Instate Saturday, January 9, 2020 at 10:30am , at Holy Family Catholic Church, 24505 Meadowbrook Road, Novi, until memorial mass 11:00 AM. Inurnment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield.
