Rzeczkowski, Dorothy August 1, 2019 Age 92 Beloved wife of the late John M. Loving mother of Mary Catherine(Douglas) Orrin and Susan (Brian) Lutz. Grandmother of Alisa (Matthew Barkley) Orrin, Ann (Jay Kim) Orrin, Natalie Lutz and Emily (Daniel Handel) Lutz. Dear sister of the late Margaret Eller. Mrs. Rzeczkowski worked in the Auditing Department for the Walgreen's Corporation. She enjoyed dancing and shopping and was very proud of her family. She loved her home town of Chicago, IL and would try and show everyone a good time if they visited. Dorothy was an avid reader who loved European history. She loved to work jigsaw puzzles and play solitaire. Dorothy's love of friends and family ran very deep. She had, by most standards, a small family, but those who knew her were treated as siblings, children and grandchildren, which made for a very large brood. You could always find her on the dance floor or rustling through a clothes rack at her favorite store. While Novi became home for the last few years, everyone there knew her heart was in her hometown of Chicago. She loved Chicago and took pride in showing it to non-natives.
We will miss her frankness, humor and determination. Dorothy's cremains will be interred with her husband John at St Adalbert Catholic Cemetery in Niles, Illinois (A suburb of Chicago).
Information about a service will be added later.
