Doris F. Wolford, age 88, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Novi, MI. She was born in Lansing, MI and grew up in Alma, MI. Doris was the daughter of Carl Willard and Dena May (Bosley) Stacy. Doris met her husband, Nello, in 1947 at the April wedding of her sister Louise, where she was the maid of honor and he was the best man. They were married that following December. Doris enjoyed bowling, pinochle, bridge, wii bowling , puzzles, crocheting, sports, in particular the Detroit Pistons, and bingo. Most of all she loved her family.

She is survived by her children Karen Jania, Jim (Norma) Wolford, and John (Kim Fronrath). She was the beloved grandmother of Jason (Keziah) Jania, Dr. Rachel Jania, Chris (Holly) Wolford, Mike (Heather) Wolford, and Kevin Wolford and was the great-grandmother of Jamison Wolford, Cecilia Jania and Avery Wolford. She was the former mother-in-law of Andrew Jania and Dar Wolford. She is survived by her brother Carl W. (Priscilla) Stacy, Jr.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Nello B. Wolford in 1999, her sisters Louise Taylor, Vivian Church and Eva Rockafellow.

The family would like to thank Jan, Shalean, Iryna, Rhonda and Barbara for the care and support they provided during the past several years of her life. They will receive family and friends Sunday April 2, 2017 at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home 41555 Grand River Avenue, Novi from Noon until the Memorial Service at 1:00pm.
