Donna Louise (Breen) Davis passed away on May 16, 2020 in Farmington Hills, Michigan at the age of 83. She was born on September 27, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan. She was the beloved mother of Tom, beloved sister of Darilyn Bogue and the late Barbara Hull, and aunt to numerous nieces and nephews and their children. Donna will lie in rest next to her parents, Thomas and Esther Breen. She was married to the late Ed Davis for 18 years.
Her son meant everything to her. For 48 years she lived in the same house, and it was always a place of warmth and love for him to come back to.
Donna retired from General Motors. When she wasn't working, she liked to travel, visiting Canada, England, Ireland, Italy, and Kenya. She was highly informed about politics and she volunteered as an election observer at her local election site. She was a lifelong Tigers and Lions fan and she loved college football, both Green and Blue.
Donna was kind and compassionate to everyone she knew and enjoyed nothing more than a long conversation with her family, her friends, and even her son's friends. Leaving a message for Tom often resulted in a cordial 20-minute discussion. When her older sister Barbara developed Alzheimer's, Donna became actively involved in her care, visiting her often.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will have a memorial service at a later date. A private ceremony with her family will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
