It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Donald P. Quigley, a beloved husband,
father, grandfather, and pillar of his community. Donald left this world on November 11, 2023 in Howell,
Michigan, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and unwavering faith.
Born and raised in Wyandotte, Michigan, on May 2, 1945, Donald was a man of exceptional character.
His quirky and fun-loving nature endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. A devoted
man of God, Donald consistently placed his faith and others above himself, embodying the true spirit of
selflessness.
Donald's passion for service led him to become an ordained Deacon, a role in which he found immense
joy and fulfillment. He dedicated himself to the well-being of others, both spiritually and emotionally.
His journey in faith took him to Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit MI where he attended Seminary
School.
Education was a cornerstone of Donalds life, as he pursued degrees in law at Wayne State University
and the University of Detroit. He successfully navigated the challenges of law school and triumphed
over the Bar Exam. Beyond his legal career, Donald served as a social worker for Wayne County and
various hospitals, making a lasting impact on the lives he touched.
A true patriot, Donald ran a VA Outpost, where he counseled and supported veterans, showcasing his
dedication to those who served their country. His compassion, wisdom, and genuine concern for others
set him apart in all aspects of his professional life.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Madeline, and his brothers Chuck and Bob. He is survived by his loving wife Punay, his children Matthew, Paul, daughter and his cherished
grandchildren. His memory will also be carried on by his siblings Karen, Kate,
Jerry, and Richard.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Donalds memory to the St.
Joseph Seminary at 15384 North Church Road, Rathdrum, Idaho 83858.
Visitation will be held at the OBrien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Ave, Novi, on Saturday,
November 18, 2023, starting at 10:30 am. The Funeral Service will commence at 11:30 am on the same
day at the funeral home. A Committal Service at Holy Sepulchre in Southfield will follow the Funeral
Service.
Donalds legacy of love, service, and faith will be fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched. May
he rest in eternal peace.
