Dolores Louise Ham was born in Detroit, MI, on March 13, 1959. She was the youngest of four born to Richard and Vera Dailey. She is survived by her sister Pat (Phil) Satterthwaite and Marie (Mark) McGregor. They lost their brother Mike Dailey this year. She is loved by her husband, Paul Ham, married for 44 years. Together they have two daughters, Kathleen (Mike Surgeon) and Patty Ham (Kevin Minot). She has five grandchildren Lucy, Theo (Sturgeon), Ernie Ham, Ellowyn, and Walter Minot, whom she loved dearly. She saved two kitties that she loved dearly, Ginger and Rocky. She passionately loved all animals and donated to charities. Affectionately called Lori or D, she was introverted but deeply loved music and pop culture. If ever there was a game of trivia pursuit, you wanted her on your team. Her fondness for music was infectious, leading her down rabbit holes for years at a time. These last few years, you could find her jamming to Tom Petty. She was always so proud of her children and grandchildren, ready to show pictures and tell stories. Our mom will be missed so much, leaving a void that will always be felt. She was the person you could always call, always on your side and ready to help. She was a mom to so many of our friends throughout the years. Mom taught us her work ethic, passion for women's rights, love of food, compassion for animals, and kindness. We lost her too early to lung cancer. We will have a small memorial at Mama Mia's Restaurant, Livonia, one of her favorite restaurants Tuesday, December 6, 2022, from 5-9 pm. In lieu of flowers, we know that she would kindly appreciate donations to the Michigan Humane Society.
