Dennis R. Bronson February 22, 1940 – September 29, 2026
Dennis R. Bronson, of Novi, Michigan, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2026. He was born on February 22, 1940, in Toledo, Ohio, to Richard N. Bronson and Gertrude Pierce.
Dennis was a kind and gentle man who had a generous heart and a wonderful sense of humor. He was generous not only with his resources, but also with his time, and he spent many years giving back to others through St. Vincent de Paul charities, soup kitchens, and other charitable organizations. His Catholic faith was an important part of his life, and he remained devoted and faithful to the Lord throughout his life.
In his younger years, Dennis loved sports and was an avid tennis player, bowler, and golfer. He continued to enjoy watching all kinds of sports, especially Notre Dame football. He also enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage and poker, and had a particular fondness for gambling and Texas Hold’em.
Dennis had a way of making even the simplest interactions memorable. He was quick with a smile and an even quicker witty or sarcastic remark. When he called, he would say, “What do you want?” When he greeted you, he would say, “Nice to see me.” He always wore cologne and joked that it was called “Push Me In The Bushes.” And no matter where he went, his briefcase was likely to contain an assortment of Necco wafers and See’s candies—of course, always for sharing with his “turkeys.”
He had plenty of other favorites, too, including Good & Plenty candies, Christmas cookies, and coney dogs from Duly’s. His great-great-niece, Georgia, held a very special place in his heart.
Dennis worked as Vice President and Controller of Arizona State Employees Credit Union. Throughout his life, he built lasting friendships and meaningful relationships with the people around him. His best friend, Michael McIntosh, was especially important to him.
Dennis is survived by his sister, Marilyn (Frank) Schoeck; and his nieces and nephews, Karen (Steve) Richter, Lynne (the late Matthew) Kulick, John (Cindy) Kraly, and William (Jennifer) Kraly, as well as many beloved great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his sister, J. Ruth (William) Kraly; brother, Mark Bronson; and sister, Maxine Prendergast.
Great nieces and nephews (aka turkeys) who will carry his memory are Jordan Richter; Collin (Emily) Richter and their daughter, Dennis’s beloved great-great-niece Georgia Richter; Kendyl (Chris) Andersen; Brian (Megan) Kulick; Kristyn and Rachel Kulick; Morgan and Nathan Kraly; and Kaitryn, Joshua, and Madelyn Kraly.
Dennis will be remembered for his gentle nature, generosity, infectious smile, quick wit, and unmistakable personality. He had a way of bringing laughter and joy into the lives of those around him, and his family and friends will undoubtedly miss his familiar sayings, his playful sarcasm, and his unexpected acts of kindness.
His favorite sign-offs—“Pax et bonum,” “Pax et amor,” and “Love Ya Bunches XOXOXOXOXO”—were his own special way of reminding those he loved that they mattered to him. And perhaps the most fitting farewell from Dennis would be the words he so often shared with others: “May you have the kind of day that you would like.”
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Parish, Novi, with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m.
A burial service will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, beginning promptly at 2:30 p.m. at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dennis’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Holy Family Parish, Novi.
