Obituary

Age 74. Resident of Novi, MI.

Dawn was born in Pownal, Vermont, the youngest of four girls to Lillian Leonard and John Henry Watts. She spent her youth in the scenic small town of Pownal helping with the family business, recognized today as Winchester's. Dawn graduated high school in Williamstown, MA in 1953.

Survived by husband Daniel V. LaRossi and five children: John Truman Pollert (Novi, MI) Tamara Watts Cooper (Novi, MI), Margot Carmassi (Tracy, CA), Terry Lee Pollert (Pownal, VT) and Jobie J. Gross (Indianapolis, IN); Two step-children Jeremy Heinz (FL) and Erika Dybal (TX). She is survived by two older sisters Virginia Brookman (Pownal, VT) and Patricia Winters (MA); She is preceded in death by her sister Lillian Francis Nichols (Pownal, VT). Dawn is also survived by eight grandchildren: Jamie John, Justin Stewart and Kylie Michele Pollert, Taylor Dawn Cooper, Travis and Chance Pollert and Kate and Lyndsey Parker; three step-grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Dawn loved the outdoor's and was an avid reader. Always of amazing character, humility and possessed a natural beauty; She had the uncanny ability to use wit and humor. She loved watching golf and keeping current on the world today and quick to fill you in on current events and politics. Dawn spent the last 15 years mostly being a mentor and trusted advisor to family. Loved by all that encountered her, Dawn never put anything in front of her marriage or keeping a watchful eye on her adult children. After a three year bout with colon cancer, she finally succumbed and has gone to be with her God.

She will be laid to rest in the Watts Family plot at Oakhill Cemetery, Pownal, VT on Saturday September 19 at 1:00 PM. Following the service, a life celebration gathering will be held at 498 NW Hill Rd, Pownal VT.
