David Allan Guyot born February 1, 1943 passed away at home May 27, 2017 at the age of 74, after a valiant 6 month battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family and beloved wife Sheri of 25 years.
Proud father of Chad (Trisha), Matt (Sarah), Evan (Tricia), adoring Grandpa to Peter, Caroline, Wesley, Audrey, Ivy, Tyler, Christopher and Kayleigh (Tink). His children and grandchildren had a special place in his heart, each in their own way.
Davids siblings also were special to him, Laurel (Larry) Marmul, Charlie (Debbie) Guyot, and Paul (Lynn) Guyot, Brother in law of Claudia (Jeremiah) and Jodi (Donald).
David is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.
Son in law of Betty and the late Richard Alexander.
David was born in Detroit to Charlotte and Edgar Guyot.
Moving from Detroit to Livonia in 1955 David attended Catholic schools and Bentley High School. He went on to graduate from Visitation in 1961.
Attended Henry Ford Community College and Hillsdale College. In 1966 David graduated from Hillsdale with a Bachelors degree in Business. He worked for Honeywell for 24 years and 9 months. During his career the family moved from Michigan to New York, to St. Louis, to Northern and Southern California and then returned to Michigan. Once back in Michigan this is where he met Sheri and their LOVE story began.
David loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed laughing, joking, had a great sense of humor, oldies music and fishing, his fishing claim to fame was catching a large rock and clam in Puget Sound, Washington State.
David was a LOVING, giving and trusting man who influenced many lives.
The family will receive friends at Faith Community Presbyterian Church 44400 W. 10 Mile Rd. Novi, Mi. 48375 on Sunday June 25 at 12:30 until the Celebration of Life at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers donations in Memory of David can be made to the Memorial Garden Fund at Faith Community Presbyterian Church.
