David S. Delahanty, passed suddenly on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 in Novi at the age of 65. Loving husband of Pam Delahanty for 39 years. Dear father of James Delahanty, and Mike Delahanty. Son of the late William and Dorothy Delahanty. Preceded in death by beloved sister-in-law Linda Vendt.
Brother of Betsy (Steve) Roulo and the late William Robert Delahanty, Jr.
Survived by his favorite brother-In-law Robert Vendt (Laura), and nephews Bill Vendt, Steve and Bill Roulo.

David was a quiet, loving, hard working person. If it needed to be done, he did it. No questions asked. He was always working on multiple do-it-yourself projects, because he preferred to stay busy. He enjoyed working alongside his sons, James and Mike, the most.

He was also an animal lover, which says a lot about a person.

His favorite things to do were working on cars, riding his motorcycle, spending time with friends and family at Higgins Lake, reading books, maintaining/improving his home, and having a nice glass of whiskey while watching sci-fi.


David retired in 2022 after working 40 years with Ford Motor Company. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association .

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday April 6, 2023 beginning at 2pm with a memorial service at 3pm and visitation continuing until 7pm.
