Husband of the late Agnes (McNamara), father of Clifford Jr. (Bonnie) of Bloomington, Indiana, Patricia of Oscoda, Catherine (Richard) Young, and the late David (Nancy) of Grandville. Grandfather of Sean, Kelly Ryan and Sarah Daily, Kristen Micallef, Keith & Lauren Young; 5 great grandchildren. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio December 14, 1919 and graduated from Parma Schaaf High School, Class of 1937. Employed by Cleveland Trust Bank in 1937 until enlisting in U.S. Army Air Corp. in April 1942. Served as Supply Officer of the 341st Airdrome Squadron with the 3rd Air Commando Group on Leyte and Luzon, Philippines, Okinawa and Hokkaido, Japan before discharge in March, 1946. Resumed employment with Cleveland Trust until December when he joined DeLuxe Check Printers. Served as Grand Knight, St. Pius X Council #3822, K of C, Parma in 1958. In 1959, DeLuxe transferred him to Detroit where he became plant manager. In 1970, he served as president of Redford Township Chamber of Commerce. After retirement in 1983, he moved to Charlotte, North Carolina returning in 1993 to Novi, Michigan. Following retirement, he devoted time to locating his squadron members after joining the WWII Air Commando Association. This resulted in accounting for more than two hundred members, many of whom shared annual Association Reunions.
