Clara Virginia (Monticelli) Hill
1922-2024

Clara V. Hill, passed peacefully on Saturday, December 7, 2024 in Lyon Twp., at the age of 102.
Born the youngest and only daughter of a family of 5 brothers to Angelico and Teresa Monticelli. Her parents were immigrants from Northern Italy, that came to the United States before the 1920's. She was born in Moon Run, Pennsylvania and moved to Michigan when she was very young and has been a lifelong resident ever since. She attended Hamtramck High School and then went on to work for Motor Products in Detroit. During the war, she worked at USO. After the war, she married George Hill and they were married for almost 35 years.

She had three children: Laura Wanielista (nee Hill) and the late Joseph Wanielista, the late Theresa Bishop (nee Hill) and Richard Bishop, and Mark Hill and Lisa Hill (nee white). She had six grandchildren, Tracy, James, Clare, John, Jacob, and Derek. She also had four great-grandsons, Andrew, Mason, Hunter, and Theodore.

She was very proud of becoming a centurion, and made many lasting memories with her friends and family during her 102 years of life. She was loved, and will be deeply missed by all.

Visitation will be held at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Avenue, Novi, 248-348-1800 on Friday, December 13, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Instate Saturday, December 14, 2024 at St. Colette Catholic Church, 17600 Newburgh Road, Livonia from 9:30 AM until time of funeral liturgy 10:00 AM. Interment will take place at Glen Eden Cemetery, Livonia.
