Christopher John Konkel, age 49, passed away on Saturday, December 7th, at McLaren Macomb hospital. He was born in July of 1975, in Detroit, MI, to Frank and Joann Konkel; he was their only son. Chris was a proud resident of New Baltimore and, more recently, Richmond, MI. He graduated from Plymouth-Canton High School in 1993 and achieved his Associate's in Graphic Design from Henry Ford Community College. Chris married Kesha Dove, his partner of 15 years, in October of 2015, in Chesterfield, MI. His love of art and automobiles led him to work in the auto industry for the entirety of his career. While at Auto-Trader from 1998-2008, he made life-long friends, Vincent "Jim" Cracchiolo (Maire, wife, and children Noah, Isabella and Vinny) and Maria Skoczylas (husband John and daughters Ashley and Natalie). Tweddle Group was his next endeavor, from 2008-2024, where he worked as a Digital Art Director. Chris's favorite past times were listening to music, watching Detroit sports, being on a beach somewhere warm and driving fast cars. He definitely knew how to relax and enjoy life! Chris is survived by his wife, Kesha; cousins, Noel (Alfred) Dorsey and Nora (Michael) Carte; and their families. He was loved more than he knew and will be greatly missed. Family, friends, and others are invited to reminisce and honor Chris's life at O'Brien Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Ave, Novi, MI, from 12pm to 1pm on Saturday, December 14th, with public viewing from 10am-12pm and family viewing at 9am.
