Leonard (nee Lelich), Christine Passed away after a short illness on April 7,2022 with her family at her at her side. Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Marguerite (nee McInerney) and Jack Lelich and by her dear daughter Geraldine who was tragically killed by a drunk driver. Christine was born in San Francisco but, at a young age, moved to the Detroit area where she lived the rest of her life. Christine graduated from The Academy of the Sacred Heart High School in Bloomfield Hills and then attended the University of Detroit-Mercy. She was a great supporter of the Detroit Symphony and the Detroit Institute of Arts. A consummate host, Christine loved having family and friends at her warm, inviting home for her delicious meals and having great discussions about any of her many interests especially movies, books, flowers, travel, and politics. Christine worked hard at maintaining relationships never missing an opportunity to speak in French with her nephew or talk Michigan football or basketball with her brothers. We will deeply miss those spirited and thoughtful conversations. Christine is survived by 3 brothers and two sisters, many nieces and nephews and friends - all of whom she loved dearly. A celebration of her well lived life will be announced
