who will remember his humor, warmth, and stories.
Chuck began his working life at Ford Tractor Sales in Auburn before moving to Ann Arbor to
attend trade school. He found his calling as a typewriter technician for Lenawee Schools, where
he worked for most of his career — a job that reflected his patience, precision, and skill with all
things mechanical.
In November of 1984, Chuck married Marcia, and together they built a wonderful life in Ann
Arbor. They shared a deep love for University of Michigan sports, especially hockey. The two
were longtime season ticket holders at Yost Ice Arena, where they rarely missed a game and
formed lasting friendships in the stands. Game nights were more than just sporting events —
they were traditions filled with laughter and Maize and Blue pride.
Chuck will be remembered for his great humor and devotion to his family. He was a man who
could fix just about anything, always had time for a good conversation, and never lost his
appreciation for the simple joys in life.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, especially the large and loving Latocki
family who welcomed him with open arms so many years ago.
A celebration of Chuck's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages
you to share a fond memory, attend a Michigan hockey game, or take a quiet moment to
remember him in your own way.
Charles will be laid to rest at Kawkawlin Calvary Cemetery 2977 Old Kawkawlin Rd. Kawkawlin, MI 48631 will be held Friday 1pm October 31, 2025, in the cemetery chapel
