Charles Allen Mielke, died November 9, 2022, at Angela Hospice in Livonia.
Born November 10, 1935, he grew up on Clairpointe Street in Detroit with his parents and three brothers. Chuck, as he preferred to be called, never met a stranger. He loved the City of Detroit and spoke passionately about the good old days downtown. Chuck was a proud alumnus of Cass Technical High School, graduating in 1954, he was Captain of both the football and baseball teams, even being recruited by the Detroit Tigers. Chuck had a successful lifelong career in the furniture business, with 40 of those years at Moss & Associates in Dearborn.
Surviving are sons Jeff (Kathy), Chuck Jr (Sylvia); grandchildren Larkin, Matthew, Sarah; great-grandchildren Bernadette, Quincy; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his soulmate, Patricia Alleger, his son Matthew, his brothers William, Otto Jr., and Russell, as well as his parents, Otto and Myrtle.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Michigan.

Visitation will be Sunday, 11/13 from 1:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm and Monday, 11/14 beginning at 9:00am with the funeral following at 10:30am.
There will be a processional to Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens, 43300 W. 12 Mile Road, Novi, Michigan 48377.
A celebration of life reception will be held from 2:00pm-4:30pm at Tommy's Parthenon, 40380 Grand River Avenue, Novi, Michigan, 48375.
