Charles Gerard Vogel, aged 68, passed away on October 14, 2023, after bravely enduring an eight-year battle with cancer. He leaves behind a legacy of love, fortitude, and a profound appreciation for life's simple joys.

Charles was a loving husband to Lori Martin-Vogel and a devoted father to his daughter, Sonya Vogel. His loyalty and companionship extended to his cherished dog, "Emma."

He was an unwavering pillar of support and affection to his siblings: Curt (Jan) Vogel, Christopher Vogel (the late), Paul (Cindy) Vogel, Mary (Timothy, the late) Wagner, Vincent Vogel, Robert (Linda) Vogel, Patricia (Jack, the late) Valli, Jean (Paul) Dietz, Janet Vogel, Elizabeth (John) Blaesser, Margaret (Jeffrey) Hunter, and brother-in-law David Martin. He held a special place in his heart for his nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Throughout his courageous battle with cancer, Charles faced each day with remarkable strength and an unwavering positive spirit. The family wishes to express heartfelt appreciation to the medical professionals whose dedication provided comfort and care during his illness.

A passionate lover of nature and outdoor activities, Charles found solace in fishing, camping, kayaking, and hiking. His thirst for knowledge led him to immerse himself in history and politics, broadening his understanding of the world. He expressed his joy and creativity through cooking, baking, and the art of canning, evident in the delectable pies he delighted in sharing.

His commitment and hard work extended beyond his personal life as a proud and dedicated union member for the majority of his years.

Charles Gerard Vogel's memory will forever be cherished for his profound love, unyielding strength, and contagious positivity that touched the lives of all who were fortunate to know him. He leaves behind an enduring legacy of love and fortitude.
