Celia Marguerite Stoltz Metcalf, age 99, passed away on March 8, 2023. She was kind, loving and generous, always there to offer support and a helping hand when needed. Her love overflowed toward children and animals - especially horses and her beloved Black Labradors.

She grew up in Ypsilanti, where she met Keith, the love of her life. They were happily married for 77 years, and experienced many lifestyle changes, both having lived for nearly a century. Family was the most important thing. Together, they raised four children (Greg, Christine, Brad and Mark), and had 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

During World War II, Celia worked at the Willow Run plant in Ypsilanti assembling B-24 Liberator heavy bombers. She later worked in several facets of the real estate industry including many years as a Closing Secretary, finally retiring at age 82.

In the 1960s, she and Keith would make grilled cheese sandwiches and chocolate shakes for the family followed by popcorn while watching Disney on Sunday night - good memories.

The family also enjoyed Sunday drives 'in the country' through Michigan's rolling hills.

In later years, besides family gatherings, she enjoyed reading, bird watching and jig-saw puzzles.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 15th, at the O'Brien-Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River, Novi, MI 48375. Visitation will start at 10 AM, Memorial at 11AM
