Celebrating the Life of Cathie Hall
July 5, 1968 – March 14, 2025
With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Cathie Hall on March 14, 2025, at the age of 56. Born on July 5, 1968, Cathie was the beloved daughter of the late Martha and Ray Hoyer, and from an early age, she radiated a warmth and kindness that would touch countless lives.
For 34 beautiful years, Cathie was the devoted and loving wife of James Hall. Together, they built not just a home, but a lifetime of memories, laughter, and unwavering partnership. She was the heart and soul of their family, always offering love, encouragement, and comfort.
Cathie's proudest role was being Mom to Stephanie and James. She cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was cheering them on in their endeavors, baking their favorite treats, or simply sitting side by side playing video games, sharing laughs late into the night. Her gentle guidance, boundless love, and quiet strength shaped their lives in ways words can hardly express.
She had a deep love for family history and was an avid genealogist. Cathie could often be found poring over old photographs and tracing family roots, uncovering stories of those who came before her. She believed in the power of connection and loved bringing the family together, sharing tales that reminded everyone of where they came from and who they are.
Cathie also had a passion for reading, her shelves filled with books that took her on countless adventures. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life—her kitchen was always filled with the sweet aroma of something baking, made with love to share with those she cared for most.
She was a loving sister to Kim Pooley, and a true friend to many. Her warm smile, listening ear, and infectious laughter made her a source of comfort and joy to all who knew her. Cathie lived her life with kindness, compassion, and a quiet courage that inspired everyone around her.
Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Cathie's life on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of her life celebration at 3:30 p.m. at O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River, Novi. She will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery, a place of honor fitting her generous and patriotic spirit.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Cathie's memory to the American Cancer Society, a cause close to her heart.
