Loving mother of Cynthia (Daniel) Mackler, John (Sue) Thompson, Frederick Thompson, Joseph Rioux, Michelle (Brandon) Marriott and Andrea(Joseph) Bress. Grandmother of Gwenevere (Steve) Matti, Sean (Alexandra) Mackler, Brian Mackler, Megan (Keith) Coscia, MacKenzie Thompson, Robert Thompson, Kate Thompson, Robert (April) Thompson, Brooke Marriott, Allie Marriott and Madison Bress. Great-grandmother of 10. Dear sister of James (Maryann) Morgan. Preceded in death by son, James Thompson and husbands Robert Thompson and Reynold Lanni. Carol Ann was a homemaker and was an employee of the State of Michigan for many years. She graduated from St. Mary's of Redford in 1952. She loved animals and will be missed by her two boxers, Baron and Millie. Memorial service Thursday, April 21, 2016, 11 am at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home 41555 Grand River Ave. Novi, MI 48375 Visitation will be Thursday 10 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, family wishes contributions to American Lung Association. Cremains interred at Curtis Cemetery, Commerce,MI.
