Carol Carpenter was born in Detroit, MI on November 8th, 1941. We are deeply saddened to announce her passing on June 28th, 2024. She was loved and cherished by many.

Carol's focus was always on her family. As a stay-at-home mom, she found herself as a single mother of four in the early 1970's. Carol has always been driven and ventured into the business world where she quickly moved up the corporate ladder. She became the General Manager of a chain of women only fitness facilities called Playgirl Figure Salons. Carol not only managed the gyms but was also the spokesperson for television/radio interviews and modeled for all of their print advertising.

While balancing family and work, she reconnected with the love of her life, Ken Carpenter. Ken still tells the story when he first met Carol in the 1960's. He knew from that very moment they were meant to be together and were married in 1980. Ken and Carol share six children, ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. During their life, Ken and Carol started and built a company, Dealer Auto Parts Sales where Carol served as VP for many years. Carol and Ken loved to travel, golf, visit casinos, dinners with friends and any opportunity for family gatherings. Carol was creative and silly. She loved marshmallows, cats, dogs, horses, the Detroit Tigers, a glass or two of Reisling, our country and our troops. But most of all, Carol loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Carol is survived by her husband, Ken Carpenter, daughter, Cindy Zurowick (Jeff Jorling), Rebecca Ukrainec (Donny), son Carter Carpenter (Lisa). Also, her grandchildren Carl Kaspari, Sarah Kaspari, Katie Zurowick, Collin Ukrainec, Quinn Ukrainec, Craig Ukrainec, KC Carpenter, Connor Carpenter (Reilly), Cale Carpenter, Lucas Carpenter and great-grandchild, Cameron Carpenter. Sadly, before her passing, Carol lost her daughter, Jane Kaspari and sons, Kenny Zurowick and Kenny Carpenter (Sue).

Carol will be missed beyond what words can express. Her sense of humor, warm infectious smile, compassion, amazing emotional strength, telling it like-it-is, steadfast faith in the Lord, and those beautiful blue eyes will never be forgotten.

Please help us celebrate on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024. Visitation from 10am – 11:30. Funeral service to follow at 11:30 to Noon. Please join us for lunch starting at 1pm at Rocky's (41122 West 7 Mile Road Northville, MI 48167).
