Amrhein, Carol Margaret (Seidler) September 13, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Richard "Dick" Amrhein for 63 years. Loving mother of Raymond Amrhein, Mary Jo (Michael) Rutz and Maureen (Gary) Wright. Proud grandmother of Caroline, Adam (Dani), Natalie, Andrew, Mallory and Brian. Dear sister of Richard Seidler, Robert Seidler, and the late Marilyn Scordato and Raymond Seidler. Carol was born in Oceanside, NY to the late George and Josephine (Fausner) Seidler. Carol enjoyed a lot of experiences early in her adult life such as working at NBC in New York City and meeting celebrities like Jack Parr and Soupy Sales, to name a few. In 1973, she and Dick moved the family from New York to Michigan for Dick's career. After working at a book publishing company and holding other jobs, she embarked on her real estate career. Dick joined her a few years later and together they went on to have a successful real estate business for over 30 years. Carol was an amazing photographer and even had some of her work chosen for display at Providence Hospital. She also loved to travel and she and Dick visited many places around the world, the farthest being New Zealand. Carol especially loved spending time and creating traditions with her grandchildren. She and Dick created many traditions and memories with them including planting flowers every spring and going on the Island Queen ferry at Kensington, followed by a picnic in the park. The "bagel store" was another fan favorite and Einstein's Bagels will be a cherished place forever! Baking was another favorite activity and she was known for chilled chocolate chip cookies (hidden in the garage or even the crawl space so the family wouldn't eat them all!), special zucchini bread, star-shaped cherry pie, and Stollen (German bread) to name a few. Christmas was an especially cherished holiday for her as she was able to spend time with all six of her grandchildren together. There were homemade stockings, Santa leaving gifts by the door, the "kids' table," Icebox cake and in later years, Stick Your Neighbor ended the evening. She loved hearing from her grandchildren and even if the call was short, she never hung up without saying, "I love you, sweetheart!"
