Carl David Gnath, age 76, of Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025. Born on April 22, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan, Carl was the beloved son of the late Carl Ernest Gnath and Norma Jean (Rende).
Carl was a devoted husband to Claudia A. Gnath and a loving father to Alex (Carolyn) Gnath, Rebecca (Russ) Sorrells, Talia (Heath) Parrish, Stuart (Amanda) Gnath, Kelly (Chris) Schwartz, and the late Aaron Greaves. He was a proud grandfather to Jacob Gnath, Julia Gnath, Reed Watson, Josie Watson, Avery Schwartz, Dylan Schwartz, Eva Parrish, Wyatt Parrish, Mia Gnath, and Jamie Gnath. Carl is also survived by his dear siblings, Dennis (Jeanne) Gnath and the late Linda Gnath.
A veteran of the United States Air Force, Carl served his country with honor. He earned a bachelor's degree from Wayne State University and dedicated much of his professional life as a materials manager for Rosedale Products.
Carl had a deep love for the outdoors and the arts. He enjoyed golfing, camping, and listening to music, passions that brought him joy and connected him with those around him. He will be remembered for his strength, warmth, and the love he poured into his family.
A funeral service will be held 12 pm on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Hilltop Church of the Nazarene, 21260 Haggerty Rd., Northville, MI 48167. Visitation will take place from 11:30 am until time of the service Interment with military honors will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI.

in Carl's memory.
