Brent Brosch Sr.

March 31, 1950 – August 28, 2026
Brent Bruce Brosch Sr., age 76, of Novi, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 28th, 2026.

Brent was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Karen Brosch, a loving father to Heather (Mark) Dunn, Melissa (John) Wilson, and Brent Brosch Jr, and a cherished Papa to his 7 grandchildren: Jordan, Ashley, Aaron, Olivia, Colton, Hannah, and Ella.
He was the caring brother of Terry (Jean) Brosch Sr. and brother-in-law to June (the late Rob) Radke and the late Joe (Sharron), Jack, and Garnet Gill; as well as the beloved uncle of Terry Brosch Jr., Lisa Boman, Jack Gill Jr., Keith Cobb and Megan Cobb.

Born in Detroit on March 31st, 1950 to Herman and Eleanor Brosch, Brent met the love of his life, Karen (Gill) in elementary school. They were married in 1969, beginning a love story that would span nearly six decades. Karen was truly Brent's world and his greatest love, and together they built a life and family that meant everything to them.

Brent and Karen began their life together in Detroit and then Westland, where they started raising their family. Brent later moved his family to Novi, where he built a beautiful life centered around family, faith, hard work, laughter, and love.

Brent worked hard throughout his career. Starting in the mailroom of the Jervis B. Webb Company, he became a successful salesman then ultimately a Vice President. He was confident and accomplished, took great pride in his work, and inspired those around him. Throughout his career, Brent made many meaningful friendships and connections that lasted well beyond his retirement.

Yet, as proud as he was of his professional accomplishments, his greatest accomplishments were always found within his family.

To his grandchildren, Papa was so much more than a grandfather. He was a huge part of their childhoods and was present for countless memories and milestones. He taught them to drive, watched them grow, and took enormous pride in the people they became. His love, guidance, stories, and the lessons he taught them will remain with them forever.

Some of Brent's happiest memories were made simply being with the people he loved—traveling to Florida and camping with his family, watching sports and cheering on his beloved Detroit Lions, listening to Motown music, collecting and admiring vintage cars, spending time with Karen, and caring for his dogs, whom he loved dearly. We find comfort imagining that all of his dogs were waiting for him in Heaven, ready to welcome him home.

Brent was a gentle giant to many, but those closest to him knew him as personable, funny, loving, caring, and a man of great faith. He loved deeply, treating and caring for everyone he came into contact with like family, and had a way of making an impact on the lives of those around him. Through his love, kindness, and faith, Brent shined God's light into the lives of many.

We will miss his laugh, his stories, his jokes, his tickles during photos, his advice, his stubbornness, and simply knowing he was there. We will miss the vacations, the Lions games, the family gatherings, the drives by his house to see him out with his dog, and all of the ordinary moments in between that we now realize were anything but ordinary.

Fatboy, Dad, Papa: we will carry you with us in everything we do. Your stories will be told, your lessons and love will be remembered, and everyone we love will know exactly who you are.

As we look toward Heaven, we find comfort picturing you happy and healthy, reunited with those you loved—your family, your friends, and all of your beloved dogs.

Until we see you again, rest peacefully.

You were the best husband, father, papa, brother, uncle and friend. You are loved beyond words, will be missed beyond measure, and you will forever be a part of us.

A Funeral Service honoring Brent's life will be held privately with his family. Following the service, he will be taken to his final resting place at Glen Eden Memorial Park in Livonia, Michigan.
