In Loving Memory of Beverly Y. Brown
Beverly Y. Brown, age 88, passed away on December 20, 2023, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on November 7, 1935, and throughout her remarkable life, she touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Beverly found joy in the simple pleasures of life, and her passions were as diverse as they were inspiring. She was an avid cross-stitch enthusiast, finding solace and creativity in every carefully crafted stitch. The sweet melodies of her piano filled her home, and the green of the golf course and the sound of bowling pins crashing were familiar and cherished aspects of her leisure time. Beverly's kitchen was a place of magic, where she masterfully baked and cooked, leaving a trail of delectable treats and beautiful handmade treasures. Her culinary prowess was legendary, with an outstanding pork roast that left mouths watering, wonderful homemade fudge and cheesecakes that were simply irresistible, and a talent for creating delicious pecan tarts and breads that became family favorites.
Family was at the core of Beverly's heart. She adored her grandkids and cherished every moment spent with them. Her love extended to her children, Lane and Jodie, who she raised with strength and resilience as a single mother. Despite the challenges, Beverly pursued her dreams, attending night school for accounting classes, demonstrating her unwavering dedication to both her career and her family.
Beverly's commitment to her community was exemplified through her active involvement at her church, where her spirit of service touched many lives. She was a devoted member of the Huron Hunt Club since 2006 and served as the office manager at Guardian Manufacturing in Livonia for an impressive 30 years.
She is survived by her loving sister Jackie, her children Lane (Carol) and Jodie (Glen), her grandchildren Heidi (Rob), Kevin, Brandon, and Brittney, her great-grandchildren Eric, Adam, Emily, and Gabby, and her great-great-grandchildren Kade and Alex.
Visitation will be held at Hilltop Church Of The Nazarene, 21260 Haggerty Rd, Northville, on Saturday, January 6th, 2024, starting at 10:00 AM and continuing until the Funeral Service begins at 11:00 AM. A procession to Parkview Memorial Cemetery, 34205 Five Mile Rd, Livonia, will follow the service. A luncheon will be held at the Hilltop Church Of The Nazarene following the burial, where friends and family can share memories and celebrate the life of this remarkable woman. For those unable to attend the burial, light refreshments will be served at the church until the luncheon begins.
Beverly Y. Brown's legacy is one of love, resilience, and a zest for life that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace.
