Barbara Lee Whaley, age 86, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, in Novi, Michigan.

Barbara was born on March 12, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Elmer and Nell Haymond. She was a graduate of Redford High School and went on to build a dedicated career, working for Michigan Bell and later Real Estate One.

Barbara was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Whaley, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories and love.

She is survived by her devoted son, Craig (Kerry) Whaley; her brother, Jerry (Donna) Haymond; her cherished granddaughters, Nicole (Sam) Gorton and Kristin (Kyle) Werner; her treasured great-grandchildren, Jack, Reese, Mallory, and Ellie; and her niece, Betsy (Patrick) Eslinger.

Barbara was known for her fun-loving spirit, boundless energy, and warm kindness. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her family at the cottage in Gaylord, Michigan—a place filled with laughter, love, and lasting memories.

Barbara's happiness, generosity, and vibrant personality will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her legacy of warmth and joy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
