Barbara Jean Pritchard
July 27, 1936 – October 21, 2025

Barbara Jean Pritchard, age 89, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025. A woman of remarkable energy, warmth, and devotion, Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Marvin Luka and the late Boston Pritchard.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, she was the cherished daughter of the late Viola (Clem) and James Negus. Barbara was the loving mother of Brian (Pam) Luka, Valerie (Don) Meyers, and Anita (James) Betts; a proud and doting grandmother to Heather (Trevor), Shawn (Stephanie), Tricia (Jared), Chris, Ryan (Mandy), Robin (Kevin), and Brittany (and the late Josh); and a joyful great-grandmother to many.

Barbara is also survived by her dear siblings Donna (Ron) Brzuch and Diana (Steve) Reohr and was preceded in death by her brother John Negus. She leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, stepchildren, step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren.

Barbara devoted over 25 years as a secretary in the Maintenance and Transportation Department of the Clarenceville School District, where her dedication and spirit made a lasting impact.

An enthusiastic supporter of her children's and grandchildren's school events and sporting activities, Barbara was active in numerous athletic clubs. She was an avid traveler who enjoyed cruises, visiting casinos, and following her favorite sports teams. A lifelong fan of the Detroit Red Wings and Lions, she proudly held season tickets for many years. After relocating to Florida, she continued her passion for sports as a loyal Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Rays fan.

Barbara was also deeply involved in her church communities in both Michigan and Florida, where her kindness and faith touched many lives.

Interment will take place at Glen Eden Memorial Park West in Livonia, Michigan, where she will be laid to rest beside her first husband, Marvin Luka.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Ave, Novi, MI 48375, with a Celebration of Life service at 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.

Barbara will be remembered for her joyful heart, unwavering support of her family, and the love she shared so freely with everyone she met.
