Obituary

Barbara J. Power, age 77, of Novi, passed away on April 8, 2020. Barbara was the beloved wife of Marvin for 48 years, and the cherished and loving mother to Michelle (Ian) Hogg and Colleen (Mark) Alexiev. (Colleen preceded her mother in death in late 2017.) Barbara was also the adored grandmother of Kendal, James, and Sarah.

Barbara was born to Marian (Westlake) and Hanford Cuddeback. She was elder sister to James, deceased, (Nancy) Cuddeback and Lawrence (Carey) Cuddeback. Barbara's upbeat, gentle, and sweet demeanor made her a very special aunt to several nieces and nephews, loved by many cousins, and a treasured friend to all. She will be greatly missed.

Barbara dedicated her life to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed going out to eat, cheering the Detroit Tigers, collecting angels and ceramic dogs, and attending her grandchildren's recitals, events, and performances. When she was younger, she enjoyed being a beautician, vacationing in Northern Michigan, traveling with Marvin, keeping a beautiful home, and spending quality time with family and friends.

A memorial mass and luncheon will be planned at a later date. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
Donations in memory of Barbara can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
