Holmes, Barbara Ann, Age 73, formerly of Lewiston, Michigan, passed away in Novi on March 26, 2012.
Barbara was born in Mineral Wells, Texas to Albert and Icie Majors. She was the youngest of seven children. She married Donald Holmes in 1956, the same year she graduated from Mineral Wells High School. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, Corene Fox, Vydell Bataline, Rosalie Mow, and Dorothy McAfee and two brothers, Albert Majors and Lester Majors.
She is survived by her loving husband, Don, two children, Mike (Cindy) Holmes of Novi and Cynthia Holmes Harden Lada of Columbiaville. Also surviving are her four grandchildren, Stephanie, Jenna, Jeffery Lada, Sierra Holmes, and four great grandchildren, Logan, Kaylie Chene, and Jack. There are many loving nieces and nephews.
Barbara loved to play golf, cards, bingo, and going to the casino.
She adored her two little dogs, Putts and Bailey.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, April 6, 2012 from 4-8 PM at O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Avenue, Novi (248) 348-1800.
