Andrea Marie Gioia, a loving mother, sister, daughter, and friend passed away peacefully with those most dear to her by her side on Saturday, December 7th, 2024, at the age of 59.

Andrea was born on June 28th, 1965, in Detroit, MI to James Bernardino Gioia Sr. and Kathleen Ann Kramer. The family lived in Westland, MI until moving to Novi, MI in 1975. Most recently she lived in Howell, MI with her fiancé, Ken.

Andrea was the first person to give you the shirt off her back. Her fierce loyalty and generous spirit touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Although kind in so many ways, her drive and character made her a force to be reckoned with. She was strong in her beliefs, which helped her succeed in all life had to offer.

For a life taken too soon, Andrea will always be a strong energy in all our lives. She was charismatic, hardworking, beautiful, talented, smart, quick-witted and above all devoted to her family and friends.

We will hold Andrea forever in our hearts.

Andrea is preceded in death by her mother Kathleen A Kramer, father James B Gioia Sr., and daughter Julia M. Koinis. Andrea is survived by her daughter Jessica A. Koinis, sisters Jill M Gioia, and Kathryn E. Katzman (Dave), brother James B Gioia Jr, fiancé Ken Loynes, and niece Nycole M. Rich (Matt), She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on.

Memorial gathering will be held at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Avenue, Novi, 248-348-1800 on Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM with a rosary at 4:00 PM. Memorial Mass Monday, December 16, 2024, at St. James Catholic Church, 46325 West 10 Mile Road, Novi from 10:00 AM until time of funeral liturgy 10:30 AM.
