In Loving Memory of Andrea Marie "Ann" Coe
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Andrea Marie "Ann" Coe on February 29, 2024, in Pontiac, MI. Ann was born on December 20, 1943, in Wyandotte, Michigan, to the late William Donald Sanders and Pearl Marie Boismier. She was the beloved life-long partner of the late Keith Collins and is survived by Keith's son, Chris (Heather) Collins, and their children Kaylee and Connor. She was a loving sister-in-law to Carrie (Steve) Otto and Jan Collins and a doting aunt to Paula Inasy and a beloved great-aunt to Joshua, Tabitha, Daniel and Anthony. She was also blessed with a great-great-niece Gabriella and two great-great-nephews Giavonni and Mayson. Ann had a deep love for animals, especially her dogs Rilee and Amber, as well as her feline companions Schatzie and Louie.
Ann was a beacon of warmth and friendship, known as a lifelong friend to Nancy Garretson and a dear companion to her friends Ken and Linda Anderson, Dieter and Ute Melletat, Jim and Peggy Hammond, and many other cherished friends and neighbors.
"Andy" as her high school yearbook fondly states, graduated from Trenton High School in 1961 as Salutatorian, a testament to her intellect and dedication. Her interests varied, and she found joy in crocheting, following Nascar, and cheering on her favorite football teams. "Go Pack Go" and "Go Lions". Her anticipation for the upcoming United Football League reflected her enduring enthusiasm for sports.
A lover of challenges, Ann enjoyed solving puzzles and was renowned for her hospitality, earning her the title of the ultimate hostess. Her entrepreneurial spirit shone through as the former owner/operator of the Dairy Queen on Grand River, just east of 7 Mile in Detroit. Throughout her lifetime, Ann also ventured into various other businesses, leaving a lasting impact on those she encountered.
A visitation will be held from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Ave, Novi, MI 48375. A funeral service will follow at 1:30 pm. Ann will be laid to rest in an entombment ceremony at Glen Eden Memorial Park, Livonia, MI. In memory of Ann's passion for animals, the family suggests contributions to the Michigan Humane Society.
