Obituary

"Dr. Amelia L. Sikora, age 85, of Northville, previous long-time resident of Addison, Illinios, passed away on January 7, 2022. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Nicholas and Louise Sikora.

After attending the university of Illinios, Navy Pier, in Chicago, she recieved her BS in Pharmacy at the St. Louis College of Pharmacy in St. Louis, Missouri. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Pharmacy at the University of California, Berkley. She then earned her Medical degree at Wayne State in Detroit, MI.

Dr. Amy practised emergency room medicine in Houston, Texas for several years until she established her own private practice in her speciality, Ophthalmology, in Richmond, Texas.

She remained at the venue for over three decades until she returned to the Chicagoland suburbs and recently moved to Northville.

Dr. Sikora is survived by her sister, Jeanette Serowiecki, her niece Jacqueline (Paul) Pebbles, her grandnieces Sophie Pebbles, Sarah Pebbles and Rose Pebbles and niece Blair Wittig. She is lovingly remembered by family members Barbara, Susan and Denise Serowiecki, Melvin(Loraine) Serowiecki and cousins Virginia and Ron Swanberg, Irene and Gerald Bylinski and families Kocanda, Martuszewski and Wojtaszek.

Dr. Amy was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Miranda Carpenter Wittig and brother-in-law Daniel Serowiecki.

Instate Monday, January 10, 2022 at St. James Catholic Church, 46325 W 10 Mile Road, Novi from10:30 AM until time of funeral liturgy 11:00 AM.
