In Loving Memory of Allen "the Duke" Koonter
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Allen Koonter on February 12, 2024, at the age of 70. Born on July 4, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Paul and Barbara J. (Miller) Koonter, Allen leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Allen is survived by his devoted wife (and best friend) of 40 years, Patricia L. (Wolk) Koonter. He is also remembered fondly by his sister, Carrie (Greg) Adas, and a host of other relatives and friends who mourn his loss.
In his professional life, Mr. Koonter dedicated his time and skills to The Bottle Crew, where he excelled as a Distribution Manager and was looking forward to retirement on the horizon to a quieter life in Northern MI. Allen's commitment and hard work were truly commendable, leaving a lasting impact on those he worked with.
Beyond the workplace, His wife, Patricia said, He loved golf, golf and golf. His love for golf was unmatched, with golf outings being a regular part of his leisure time. His friends and family will forever treasure the memories created during these cherished moments of camaraderie. Additionally, Allen had a passion for bowling, achieving the impressive feat of bowling a perfect 300. His enthusiasm for the sport brought joy to those who shared the lanes with him.
Al loved animals as well as his fur babies; MATILDA, HANK, GARBONZO & NOOGIE.
Allen Koonter will be dearly missed, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love and warmth he shared with those around him.
