Alice (Hollyer) Brown passed away peacefully at age 87 on Saturday, May 10, 2014. She was the daughter of Robert N and Jane (Newsted) Hollyer. Predeceased by husband of 65 years, Milner Brown, son-in-law Bill Deetz, sister Jane Wise, and brothers Robert, William and Richard Hollyer.

Alice is survived by her children Ann (Joe) Sartoris, Michael (Bonnie) Brown, Patricia (Paul Mercer) McDonald, Wendy (Peter) Sullivan, Susan Deetz, Nancy Brown, and John (Leah) Brown, 17 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Also her sister Wini (Hollyer) Freese and sister-in-law Doris (Richard) Hollyer.

Alice was a Cadet Nurse during WWII and graduate of Grace Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1948. She was also a Girl Scout leader for many years and an avid Tiger fan. Her family was the center of her life and she will be greatly missed.

A private service was held Monday May 12, 2014.
