Loving husband of Julia Schmitz for 63 years.
Beloved father of Christine Byrne, Barbara (Thomas) Bohrer, and Alan Schmitz.
Dear grandfather of Dawn Orman, Jon Perry, James Bohrer, Elizabeth Bohrer, J.C. (Tara) Byrne, Kate Byrne, and great grandfather of Justin Orman, Matt Orman, Lukas Orman, Graydan Byrne, Finley Byrne.
Brother of Kurt Schmitz.
A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday 2-9 pm at O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Avenue, Novi 248-348-1800 with a memorial service at 7:00 pm .
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, at www.diabetes.org/ or Reverence Health and Hospice at http://www.reverencehomehealth.org/ .
