age 84.
Husband of the late Alice Berninger for 59 years.
Dear father of Douglas G. and Tod R. Phillips.
Loving grandfather of Lafa M. Catrell and Kimberly N. Phillips.
Mr. Phillips was a 1939 graduate of New Castle High School where he participated in baseball, fast pitch softball and many school plays. He was a graduate of Wilson Junior College, Chicago in 1941, and received his B.A. from Northwestern University School of Business and was a V.P. in Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity and also the Interfraternity Council. He also attended American University in Biarritz, France.
Mr. Phillips was a veteran of USAF 8th Air Force stationed in England.
After his military service he worked for New Your Life Ins. Co., Rushville, IN.
From 1957-72 he was a general agent with State Mutual. Services will be held on December 16, in Rushville, Indiana.
