Robert (Bob) Francis Pauley. Born on October 20, 1924 in Mt Kisko, NY, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2020 at the age of 96. He served our country during WWII in the Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1946. After attending Rutgers University, Bob's career journey began at Mack Trucks in Plainfield, NJ. The Korean War interrupted his career when he was recalled to serve in the Air Force Reserves from 1950-1951. Soon after his return he began a 27 year run at Chrysler Corporation in Highland Park MI where he was deeply involved in the Chrysler Turbine Engine program. After leaving Chrysler Bob spent 14 years working with Williams International in Walled Lake MI retiring in 1995. An airplane enthusiast, Bob was an early member of the Experimental Aircraft Association, a founding member of the Society of Air Racing Historians and involved with many other aircraft societies. His passion for photography was often combined with his aviation and automobile interests. He kept a tremendous historical record which led to him publishing many articles and even a book on Michigan Aircraft Manufacturers. Bob spent much of his retirement living at Fox Run in Novi with the love of his life, Margaret MacDonald. He is survived by his nieces and nephews; David Pauley, Ann Pauley, Joan Pauley Corella, Robert Pauley, Margaret Pauley, Bill Pauley, Ken Pauley, Jack MacDonald and Marilyn Langenberg. Predeceased by his wife Margaret and brothers Phil and Reg. Services to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made on his behalf to the Fox Run Staff Appreciation Fund sent to the attention of Barbara Jablonski, 41200 Fox Run Drive, Novi MI 48377.
