Margaret MacDonald

July 2, 1936 - October 17, 2020

Margaret was born to John and Mary (Mullins) Collins on July 2, 1936, in Dunmore, Ireland. She immigrated to the United States when she was 19. She married the love of her life, Malcolm "Hidy" MacDonald in September 1969, and was widowed in 1972. Margaret earned her real estate license, and later worked for Sears, Roebuck & Company for over 30 years in various sales positions. Margaret made many trips to Ireland over the years and was a devoted ice hockey fan. She is survived by her daughter Anita (Dan) Cooney, her grandsons Liam and Ronan, her sister Bridie (Tom) McNicholas, her nieces Mary, Margaret, Ann, Patricia, Breda, and their families. Visitation will be at St. Kenneth Church, 14951 N Haggerty Rd, Plymouth, MI 48170 - Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral Liturgy at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, MI. Donations in memory of Margaret can be made to the Fr. Solanus Casey Center. www.cskdetroit.org
