Edward George Kramer, 79, of Novi, died peacefully on Monday January 10th, 2022 in Novi. He was predeceased by his wife Barbara Ruth (Matter) Kramer. Born November 8th, 1942 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Edward Preston and Ann Armitage (Baylis) Kramer. Ed grew up in Western PA and graduated from Carnegie Institute of Technology. He was commissioned as an officer in the Army Corps of Engineers and served on active duty for 2 years, stationed in Korea. He married Barb in 1966. He was hired by Chrysler as an engineer, and he moved to Michigan. He earned a MBA at Wayne State University. For much of his career he worked in vehicle development and enjoyed travelling for business and retired after 41 years. He lived in the city of Novi for 46 years, serving on the planning commission and city council. He was active in St. John Lutheran Church and the Novi Lion’s Club. He is survived by children, Stephen and Eric (Brittney) Kramer, granddaughter Elise, and companion Donna Wildberger in MI, as well as his sisters Shirley Kramer in PA, and Debbie (Kramer) Spinks in PA. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm on Friday, January 21st at O’Brien-Sullivan Funeral Home 41555 Grand River Ave. Novi. Funeral services will be held at 11am January 22nd at St. John Lutheran Church 23225 Gill Rd. Farmington Hills. There will be visitation prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. John Lutheran Church in Farmington Hills.
